Title of lesson: Getting to know Geography
Description of lesson: Students will complete a scavenger hunt using the internet. By answering questions given and going to websites that each question will guide them to they will gain an understanding of basic geography. Students will take the knowledge gained from completing the scavenger hunt and create a world or a country map.
Assignment: Complete the questions from the scavenger hunt and create a map.
The technology used in this lesson changes the teaching / learning in this way: the students will be able to explore some really cool websites to answer questions and gain a basic understanding of world Geography.
Using Vacarro I want you to record what some of your family traditions are, what kind of food do you like, and tell me if you could travel to any where in the world where would that be? I Expect at least a 3 minuite recording I suggest that you write what you are going to say befor you start because you will not be able to edit this recording. To insure that you get the best recording possible please do it in a quite place, turn off the tv and radio and ask others around you not to talk. If you are unable to find a quite place I can help if you make time before or after class.
